Ideas for an Outdated Website
Do you feel that your website isn't what it used to be? Perhaps it needs a new layout, some new information or maybe a complete overhaul. Here are some ideas that might breathe new life in your old website:

Information
When was the last time your information was updated? By keeping your website up-to-date, you will most likely engage customers, both potential and returning. You might ask yourself:
- Text: Too much or too little? Yes, there is a such thing as having too much text. It is called being too "text heavy". To fix this, you could add pictures to balance it out or split content amoung multiple pages. On the other hand, if there is not enough text, you might consolidate two short pages into one full page.
- Should you add a News or Blog section? Allow viewers to follow your company's progress by posting articles and pictures. Updating frequently is a really good thing!
- Layout: Are viewers able to find content easily? Make sure the most important information is near the top of the page for easy viewing. Your navigation links might need to be put in a different order for better access.
- Are some pages not being visited? You might try combining two related pages with little information to make a full page. This will also shorten your menu and loading time.
Colors
- Are the company colors current? If your company colors or logo have changed, the webpage should reflect those changes. Keeping a consistent brand is a major plus!
- How many colors? You might try expanding the color palette of your website to add more visual interest. However, having too many colors can be distracting, so it is important to find a balance.
Pictures
- Do you have pictures? Pictures and text should come together to create a balance. If you do have pictures, try strategically placing them among paragraphs to help "break apart" the text. If you do not have any pictures, consider using stock photography to achieve the balanced look.
- Do you have a photo gallery? If you have a good amount of pictures, you might want to showcase them in a photo gallery. You could also divide them into categories for easy viewing.
