We were asked to design a website for the WRPS that would showcase the group's past and present restoration projects as well as information about the society. They also wished to have a news section for their newsletters and a photo gallery for volunteer pictures.

Because the WRPS is associated with the Sumpter Valley Railway, we wanted the main layouts of each site to look similar. The trick was to also make each one unique.

We also went went with a like color palette to the SVRy, except we incorporated more deep colors, such as blue and brown.

The most challenging part of the design and development of this website was the organization of of pictures and data. Each restoration project had a different amount of content to be shown, but they needed a consistent look. We had to come up with layout that would look good for all amounts of information. We choose to go with smaller pictures, with their cooresponding text, that could be enlarged to see detail.

We will be in charge of managing, updating, and hosting this website in the future. To view the entire website, visit www.westernrailwaypreservation.org.
